Upcoming Changes

Created on November 03, 2010 by Ryan Dunagan

After lots of discussion and with much excitement, we are proud to announce that , partner and lead developer at GANDR, will be going to work for Erskine Design in their Nottingham office. He will be instrumental in continuing to develop their killer front-end code as well as their ExpressionEngine integrations. He will be moving across the pond at the first of 2011 and will be a full-time Erskine employee.

We are also proud to announce will be taking an Online Marketing Manager position with a startup in Austin called Boundless Network. He will be starting his new position mid-November 2010.

(our designer) will continue to amaze us with his work at Wednesday Design, a custom design, events and paperworks company founded by himself and his wife Jessica.

So yes, much is changing here at GANDR. It is very sad yet exciting.

So why the sudden change?

Many people have asked us why we would suddenly change direction with so much momentum swinging our way. This is really a two-part answer:

  1. The opportunity for Garrett to work with such a talented team was more than he could stand. There are only a few agencies that lead the way the web is going and this is one of them.
  2. We love the web and we love our clients but we are ready for a change of pace. After living in Abilene for 6 years (4 in college and 2 in business) we were both more than ready to expand our horizons.

Is GANDR still a company?

Yes, GANDR is still a company and will continue to produce mind-blowing work.

Garrett will no longer be affiliated with GANDR (as his heart is with Erskine now) but Ryan will run the company just as sexy as before. We have brought on another awesome ExpressionEngine developer and HTML Guru (pardon the annoying buzz word) to be announced on a later date. So we are still the same company as before just Garrett-less and with .

We will continue to accept projects but will be much more selective about the projects we take on. Time is limited with our new business structure and it’s high time to just take on the cooler projects.

Note: some may make crazy assumptions about Garrett and Ryan’s partnership, but they are still buddies and the change of the direction of the business has nothing to do with GANDR but more to do with the fact that Garrett will be living in freaking Nottingham!
